In July and August the Study Abroad Program at the International School of the University of Haifa offers short-term programs for students and adult learners from all over the world. Each short-term academic or language course allows students to benefit from the unique cultural diversity that the University and the city of Haifa offer.

Innovation Academic Course

In this course, students explore famous Israeli entrepreneurs’ startup ideas, learn about Israeli innovative culture and spirit, hear lectures from the world’s best professors of the Israeli innovation phenomenon – Startup Nation – and study investments of Israeli bio-medical and clean green tech industries. In addition, the students have opportunities to give roadshow presentations, share their startup ideas, and receive feedback and mentorship from successful global entrepreneurs.

Disaster & Emergency Management

Wildfires, floods, COVID-19, terror attacks, and earthquakes are only a partial list of emergencies and disasters which have occurred in recent years in many countries around the world. Some countries had even experienced more than one major disaster. Managing an emergency or a disaster is based on preparedness and mitigation actions (before the event), response capabilities (during the event), and recovery efforts (after the event) to rebuild the area and the affected community.

Intensive Total Beginners Spoken Arabic

This course is designed for students with no prior knowledge of Spoken Arabic or the written language (MSA). An emphasis will be put on the Levantine Dialects. The language of instruction will be a combination of Arabic and English in order to explain the foundations of Spoken Arabic.

Intensive Hebrew Programs

The Summer Intensive Hebrew programs are designed for those who want to immerse themselves in an intensive language acquisition experience that is personally enriching as well as academically demanding. Instruction will be offered from beginners to advanced levels.

 

Summer Intensive Hebrew Online Course

The online beginners Hebrew course is designed for those who want to immerse themselves in a language acquisition experience that is personally enriching as well as academically demanding all from the comfort of your own home. The program focuses on strengthening all four major skills: writing, reading, speaking, and comprehension.
